We have extended our area slightly to the south to now include the area around the sugar cane processing factory, where like central Luxor they have calashes as seen here, but unlike Luxor they are for the locals as this is far from any tourist area.

Nose injuries like this are no longer seen in the AWOL area due to our hard work on your behalf. We do occasionally see damage on a donkey that has come into our area from outside but here in our new area we certainly have our work cut out.

We told the calash man above where we would be working and he brought his horse to us for advice and treatment.

Like every new area the demands on our services are initially very high.

We need to make more horse head collars as we can't keep up with demand in this area but we will, as we have done elsewhere, get to them all but it will take some time.
