AWOL ~ November 2011 ~ Happy Hounds Newsletter ~ Page 1 of 6

Pauline and Dr Mohammed see so many more dogs than they ever used to, at the AWOL clinics in the villages. This is primarily due to AWOL improving the attitudes of dog owners over the years.

Children wait with their dogs and puppies, to be seen at one of our many villages clinics. The boy with the black puppy brought it to us, because of its lack of energy.

AWOL is changing attitudes
to dog care
so that everyone benefits.

When we checked the puppy over we could see why it was so lifeless. Ticks were literally all over it, and taking so much blood that it was becoming anaemic.

There were just too many ticks to remove by hand, so we gave the puppy an injection which would cause them to die and fall off within 24 hours.
