Back in October 2007 we wrote about “A Positive Puppy” that had been rescued by an Egyptian family but was in very poor condition. With the family and AWOL working together just look at him now, happily sitting in the shade with his friend that AWOL successfully treated in January after he had an encounter with a snake which had spat in his eyes. |

One day it was full of sugar cane and the next it had been harvested. This is the land on which our AWOL Medical Centre will be built. Many hurdles to be jumped but we will get there with your help. |

Pauline and Sabine attend to a wound on this donkey's back which has been caused by a combination of overwork and bad tack. This is just across the road from where the AWOL Medical Centre will be. This is a great location as so many donkeys and horses will go past the centre on their way to or from work every day. |

| Using the back of the car in order to obtain a little shade Pauline and Sabine remove ticks from the ears of this puppy. It is so important to relax the puppy so as to build confidence but this little puppy was so relaxed it fell asleep before we had finished. With the infestation of ticks it was most probable that this puppy hadn't been able to sleep for some time. Both puppy and child happy. |

Whilst going to visit a friend in Armant one friday we were stopped by a worried donkey owner right in the middle of the town. Normally this is a busy street but as this was a friday it was nearly empty so we were able to help. Medical advice was given and we were able to repair the bridge over the donkey's back. |

A home visit by AWOL. Whilst treating a cow with an ulcerated udder with the help of Dr Mustafa we were asked to look at a baby donkey that hadn't stood for 5 days. These are good people doing the best that they can within their limitations. Both cow and baby donkey are doing well and we will have pictures next month. |
