After checking the donkey yokes are okay Pauline negotiates the best price for AWOL. These are made for us and we finish them off before fitting them to the donkeys to reduce the number of shoulder wounds. |

Little "Speedy" as he became known was a cute, fluffy puppy when we first saw him with his sister. Though his sister was fine "Speedy" went downhill fast. The family were very worried and though AWOL visited every other day with Puppy supplements he continued to go downhill and when he lost the use of his front legs we took him home, with the family's permission, for intensive treatment. |

With regular small, high protein feeds, day and night along with manipulation of the limbs and frequent washes "Speedy" was soon up and well on his way to full recovery. His body weight doubled in less than 10 days and he would soon be ready to be returned to his family. We kept the family advised of his progress as they missed him and were so pleased to have him back. |

| We constantly monitor and try and improve all equipment that AWOL makes and having just taken delivery of this new heavier duty webbing we made a few head collars to see how they last and how the donkey's take to them. The owners like them and the donkey's seem happy enough but only time will tell. |

We have now started fitting individual cushions to the new wooden bridges and here the production line is well under way. Graham makes the covers on the sewing machine, Ed fills them and Paul stitches them onto the wooden bridges. It is always great to have extra pairs of hands and it was a joy to have Ed and Paul here. |

Here on a follow up visit by AWOL "Speedy" is seen at home with his, now smaller, sister. AWOL will continue to monitor the progress of "Speedy" as we do with many other cases to ensure that families that care have easy access to our services. |
