In this section we will eventually cover all the ancient sites of Luxor but this will take some time to complete so we have started with the sites that are less frequently visited.

The Theban Tombs

for our Theban Tombs Index of all the private tombs you can visit on the Luxor West bank.

Tomb of Ay

to see this 18th dynasty tomb that was originally being built for Tutankhamen.

Medamud

to see this temple to the god Montu which is on a site that pre-dates the mighty Karnak Temple.

Medinet Habu

to see more pictures of this, our favourite temple.

Deir El Medina

to visit the homes of the workers that built and decorated the tombs of the pharaohs and their ptolemaic temple.

Seti I Temple

to find out more about this important though seldom visited temple on the west bank of Luxor.

Temple of Merenptah

to see the remains of this temple that time hasn't been kind to but nevertheless there are some interesting pieces.

We continue to work on this new section to our web site so please check back soon.
