What is it like in Cairo today?

In a wordbusy. Quite different to Luxor or Aswan and extremely large. It now spreads right out to the Pyramids at Giza and beyond.

Almost two thirds of the population of Egypt live in Cairo.

All the pyramids are in this area of Egypt, not just the famous ones at Giza there are many, many more, also Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, is within easy reach of Cairo.
