July started with the wedding of our good friends Nasser and Heba at the Luxor Hotel. The day before we went to the big party at Nasser's home village. Lovely people.

Back down at our land for measurements and Graham had more help than he wanted from the local children. It turns out to be somewhere between 5 and 6 carat, whatever that is!

We have put this picture together from our photographs of the tombs and temples of the West Bank of Luxor and have had it printed to raise funds to help the animals here.

This early morning balloon ride from the Valley of the Kings was photographed by Pauline from the end of our garden, I was still asleep, as usual!

They say animals take after their owners, Marcy is also sound asleep and from that grin is having a very happy dream.

The view from our first floor. This building always fascinates us and with the crops having been harvested we have a clear view for a while. Everything grows so quickly here.
