The last time we went to visit this tomb it was closed but when we visited the Assaif tombs with Mark and Monica we were told that it was open so we thought we would make our first visit to the Tomb of Pasaba. It was excellent and we will go back soon as you can't take it all in the first time. Click Here to see more of this tomb.

The Temple of Merenptah is little more than a collection of pieces that could be saved but there are some unique pieces and the little museum offers an insight into how moulds were used to make bead necklaces and many other small items not usually seen in Luxor. All very interesting. Click Here to see more of this temple.

Sindbad's Gardens is our favourite place for a Stella and a snack and we can usually be found here on Mondays after AWOL but of course there is no alcohol served during Ramadan so this month it has been deserted but we continued to enjoy it.

Charlie has taken to guarding the dogs biscuits and our lemons but we don't mind as it is just nice to have him home. We were so worried when he went missing for two and a half days earlier in the month especially as he doesn't have much power in his back legs.

Well Marcy is 2 today (23rd September) and who would believe, looking at him now that he was born on the sofa and so, so small. A hansom hound that brings us so much joy.

Exactly 2 years ago we were at home and had just served up a Chicken Tika Massala. As we were eating outside we had to take the food through the living room and there we saw that Tufty had made herself quite at home on the sofa. This was very unusual for her as she never goes on the sofa and on closer inspection there was one very little puppy. We waited thinking that there would be more but we were so lucky as there was only one otherwise we would have a house full as we couldn't have given them away. You can now see where Marcy got his name from, it was a good curry and he is a great dog, so loving, and we are very lucky to have him and his mum, Tufty.

Well it took such a long time but we have just finished painting the front of our villa. We really don't get much free time but both feel really satisfied with the end result.
