After finishing with the animals for the day we went to see a special needs school where our friend, and special needs teacher Mohammed, took us on a tour and insisted that we try the roundabout but not too fast .... please! |

Sabine rescued a little kitten from a locked up garage. It had a bad leg but with love and a good diet all is well now. Here seen with Pauline she is called Cleo but now as she grows she is definitely a He-o. |

Karkaday or as we know it hibiscus makes a lovely drink. Now is the time of year to pick the stems and they are everywhere. The burgundy coloured flowers are dried and then used to make an infusion which can be served hot or cold. Pictured here is a donkey cart heading home where the women will remove and dry the flowers. |

Not exactly the safest way to travel but these little service cars are loaded to the extreme especially in remote areas or at busy times like this when when school is finished for the day. |

With the Theban Hills in the background we look across green fields. Though the hills look to be close by there is actually quite an expanse of desert before you reach them. |

Yes we know you have seen it many times but this is our favourite temple - Medinet Habu,
mortuary temple of Ramses III. In this picture you can see in the background a white path leading to the top of the Theban Hills which takes you up and over to the Valley of the Kings. Click Here for more of Medinet Habu. |
